Kyoto — In the summer it’s hot as hell, but Kyoto is home to World Heritage sites and traditions aplenty, making it a must-see city in Kansai. Readers of Travel + Leisure magazine agree – they’ve voted the city into their top ten cities in the world this year. In the magazine’s 17th annual survey, readers were asked to rate cities based on sights, culture, food, people and value for money. Kyoto came in 9th, with the top city this year being Bangkok.
