Danish Tiger lands in Osaka
Osaka, Shinsaibashi — Tiger, the European equivalent of the 100yen store, opened its first Asian store in Osaka last month. Eager customers were queuing round the corner on opening day to get their hands on the Scandinavian-style brightly colored knick-knacks, including sudoku toilet rolls, cow-shaped pen holders and doll-shaped knitting sets. Popularity comes at a price, however, as the new store was forced to close for two days to restock and build additional check-outs.
