An intensely dramatic course
Kyoto — If you’re into Japanese performing arts, and serious about trying it out, the annual Traditional Theater Training course at Kyoto Art Center was designed for you. Anyone can apply, as age, nationality and any prior experience of performing arts are not important. Just bring your willingness to learn. The course features three days of workshops, then three weeks of intensive daily practice before a recital. Training includes Nihonbuyo, Noh and Kyogen. Course fees are around ¥70,000, and accommodation in Kyoto can be organised. The deadline for application is June 30th, and the course runs from July 19 to Aug 9.
